Hints

Alternative to Guide Books for core subjects is a one time investment in the Judicial Examinations book (1 or 2 volumes) which is a concise point wise and short stuff for law students. If you are constrained for money to buy the law books prescribed - buy it and prepare while attending classes. It is worth making notes in that book. Beware, it is not an alternative but a sure guide to clear exams. The examiner will think you know what you are writing !

Answer questions in this way as much as possible for 15 marks question:

- Explain concept/definition
- Relevance of question (You must read question properly)
- Cite at least 2 case laws relevant to the question
- Conclusion or Opinions
- Try to Use the entire 40 pages by spacing your answers to ensure readability, and thus making it easier for the reviewer or marks giver.

For environmental Law most of the acts are on this site : http://moef.nic.in/

Go to the relevant ministries websites by googling - bare acts are there. Also, most of much needed understanding can be acquired easily.

For Company law visit the Competition Commission of India for case laws : http://www.cci.gov.in/   - read the faqs section for understanding.

For Cr.P.C - Get author Takwani book, it is easy to understand and very well written. I liked the Mishra book for Labour Law. Divans is good for environmental law. For Professional conduct and Advocacy (ethics) you can download the prescribed book from the internet from below link - http://www.archive.org/details/professionalcond029273mbp  - wonderful book, you should read all chapters apart from the syllabus. It will help you in long run.

    1. There is clear corruption and that's proven by the fact that non-deserving students are getting good marks, but of what use are their "good marks" in the Court? Its time for us to unite and file petitions right away and fight for our right.
